Microsoft Windows users are experiencing Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) errors worldwide. Many people reported the issue on the microblogging platform X (formerly known as Twitter). Users are seeing blue screen errors, causing their laptops and PCs to get stuck in a restart loop. the problem has disrupted operations for several airlines, banks, broadcasting, and emergency services globally. Microsoft has acknowledged the issue on its service status page.

Microsoft has acknowledged the issue on its service status page. US-based security company CrowdStrike also posted on Reddit, saying the outage is due to a ‘faulty update’ that has now been rolled back. “We have widespread reports of BSODs on Windows computers, occurring on multiple sensor versions. We identified a content deployment related to this issue and have reverted those changes,” CrowdStrike said in the post.
It is unclear whether the outages are related to the CrowdStrike problem, the issue at Microsoft, or both.
